This is the story. Enjoy and COMMENT!
Part 1
I looked up at the ugly brown brick building of Jefferson High and sighed. Another year of hell. I sighed again and ran my fingers though my dark brown hair and shook my red (dyed) bangs out of my eyes.
“Hey, Nye!” I heard behind me. (Pronounced: Knee. To avoid questions.)
“Oh, hi Mike.” I greeted my best friend once I turned around. Mike was the only person I had ever trusted. Ever since my stepdad………..He gave me a quick hug and for some reason I noticed how his pale-ish skin contrasted with my chocolaty brown.
“Something the matter?” He asked.
I shook my head. “No, nothing.”
We walked in to the building together, and to our lockers, which were conveniently right next to each other.
“We have different homerooms this year…” He said in a pouty voice.
“Sucks.”
“But they’re right next door!” He realized.
“Good observation, Mikey,” I complemented.
He scowled. “Come on, I’ll walk you.”
Once we got to Room 502, my homeroom, he blew me playful kisses. “I shall see you, my love!” He called, even though we were about a foot apart.
“But our love cannot be!” I retorted, deciding to play along.
“But it can!” he said back in an over-dramatic voice with a terrible English accent.
“It cannot! Go now, my love, for it hurts too much! For you are the sun, and I am the West! The sun sets over my darkened skies…” I replied, copying the accent, except much better. (If I do say so myself.)
The warning bell rang.
“Hmm, I better go for real. See ya before 2nd period! By the way, good analogy.” And he skipped into his classroom.
I shook my head, wondering if somehow they got his date of birth mixed up and he was really 8 instead of 16. I walked with my head down into my classroom, shyness kicking in. I knew some people from the previous year, but many of them were new.
“Just my luck…” I grumbled as I took a seat near the back. I was just slipping on my headphones to listen to System of a Down when I heard a voice above me.
“This seat taken?”
I looked up…..and saw the most gorgeous pair of green eyes staring down at me. And to accompany the gorgeous green eyes was a gorgeous face. And to accompany the gorgeous face that was accompanying the gorgeous green eyes was gorgeous jet-black hair that was kinda messy. And of course, to accompany the gorgeous jet-black hair that was kinda messy that was accompanying the gorgeous face that was accompanying the gorgeous green eyes was a gorgeous smirk on his thin lips.
In other words, he was hott.
I could only shake my head.
He smiled a bit fuller, and sat down and engaged in a conversation with another guy that was sitting in front of him. I pulled my headphones up, but I didn’t really pay attention to the music.
Maybe this year wouldn’t suck SO bad.
