Part 29 "Hello?" I whispered, snatching the phone. Mom and Dad were napping, so I had to grab the phone before it woke them. I had sprinted from my room to the kitchen to grab a phone that actually worked, tripping over a chair and almost slamming my face against the floor in the process. "Hey, Dori?" said a voice on the other end of the phone. "Frank?" I almost tripped over my own feet when I realized who it was. "Hey," he said. "What's up?" "Not much. How about you?" I scurried into my room and sat down on my bed. I grabbed a pillow and pressed it to my chest, wondering why he was calling me. I hadn't heard from him since we went to Starbucks so long ago. "Well, guess who's coming to Jacksonville!" "OH MY GOD!" I squealed. "Are you guys performing here or just visiting?" "Both. We're finishing up our tour out in Jax, so we'll hang out there for a couple of days before heading home." He sounded so excited. "When?" I asked, eagerly hanging on his every word. "Two weeks from today." "Holy shit. Tickets are probably all sold out," I said, although I knew what was coming. "But guess who saved some for you?" he asked, laughing a bit. "I love you so much!" I squealed, way too excited about the MCR concert to hear Frank say, "I love you, too." "That is so awesome," I gasped, totally disregarding his last remark. It was like I hadn't even heard it. "Thank you so much. How many did you get?" "5," he said. "Only 5? That takes care of Morgan, Zack, Jade, Tre and me. What about Billie, Mike, and Juliya?" "I got as many as I could. Sorry I couldn't get more," he said, sounding really sad. "It's okay. Thanks so much for what you could get," I said. "Hey, when I'm in town, you want to hang out or something?" "Sure," I said. "It's a date." "It is?" he asked. "What about Tre?" "Oh, wait, not a date like that," I laughed. "I didn't think so," he murmured. And he almost sounded disappointed.

Part 30 "You guys were so awesome," I laughed, standing backstage and chatting with Frank. We had been talking for a while, with several girls, my age and younger, coming up to him and asking for an autograph. Tre was talking to Bob, but kept looking over at me suspiciously. "Thanks," he said. "So, what are your plans for tomorrow?" "I'm going to hang out with Tre," I said. "That day after?" "As of yet, I have no plans for the day after tomorrow," I informed him. "Well, now you do. You and I are going to hang out or something, okay?" "Sounds good," I laughed, feeling a bit nervous, but excited as well.
A year later... "Mr. Ming? Could you please send Dorin to the front office?" asked the voice over the intercom. "Dorianne!" I gasped. "Is my name really that hard to pronounce?" I mumbled to myself. "She'll be right up," Mr. Ming said as the intercom went off. I stood up and grabbed my bag. Mr. Ming waved at me and went back to ranting about monologues. There was a new crop of kids in the drama class, the new sophomores, so we had to break them in. The new school year had just started, so I was getting used to things again. I looked across the room. Drama class was just filled with awkwardness. Tre sat in the corner, kind of staring at me. Steven had pretty much gotten over whatever he thought was between us, since he wasn't as uncomfortable around me, but things were better. I headed out the door and down the hallway, through the courtyard, and to the main office. "They called me up here?" I said to the woman at the desk. "Are you Dorin?" "No. I'm Dorianne." "How do you spell that?" she questioned, examining her piece of paper. So I spelled out the name for her. "Oh, yes. This would be you. Someone is here to pick you up," she said, pointing out through the glass doors. I looked out but saw no one. "I can just leave?" I asked. "You've already been signed out," she nodded. "Cool." I shrugged and headed for the door. I pushed it open and looked around, searching for Mom or Dad's car. Jade drove me to and from school, since I didn't have a car of my own. But I didn't see their car. I then heard the sound of a horn and looked over at the black car that it sounded from. Frank. "OH MY GOD!" I squealed, rushing over to him. I threw my arms around his neck and embraced him in a kiss. "You guys are done touring? I thought you wouldn't be done until next week." "Ray broke his finger," he said. "Is he okay?" "He's find. He just can't play for six weeks, so we have many disappointed fans," he said. "That sucks." "Not for me. I got to come home and visit my girl," he laughed. I blushed. "I told you not to call me that," I giggled. "How was your day?" he asked as we climbed into the car. "Pretty good," I said. "I'm so glad you're here. I missed you."
THE END
Sorry the end was so abrupt. I just wanted to finish it.
