I would dye my kid's hair blue. But they would hate me for it, I just know it.

Haha, I would make mine like it. I also planned a while ago that I'm gonna let my little boy grow out his hair long enough that I can put it in a faux hawk, lol. That would be so cute.

Part 22 BILLIE’S POINT OF VIEW What the hell was I going to do now? I sat in the phone room on the couch, hoping maybe Morgan’s mother would call or something. I don’t know why I thought she might, seeing as how Melissa just treated her like crap it wasn’t likely. But I tried to form a plan. I couldn’t run away like Morgan had. Since she left, they had tightened security on the house, and there were cameras all over the place. There was no safe way to escape. And Melissa had power over me. I hated when people had power over me. It drove me crazy. I couldn’t think of anything to do, any way to escape. All I could think of was living a series of lies for the next few months. I didn’t want that. But little did I know that Tre was way ahead of me.
TRE’S POINT OF VIEW I dug through my suitcase in search of what I needed. I held in my hand the piece of paper with “the plan” written on it. Dori was off distracting Melissa to the best o her ability. Most of the camera crews and such were out searching for Morgan, and Melissa was the only member of the crew around. If she was distracted, she would never notice what was happening. I finally found it…my suction cup gun thingy. I smiled and loaded it, aiming at my first target; the camera above the bed. I hit with almost perfect aim. I smiled and began to do the same thing with every camera I could find, including those outside the house. I stepped into the living room, where Karla and Mike sat. “What are you doing?” Karla asked, staring at me with the suction cup gun thingy. I handed her the piece of paper and she read over it, looking up at me and nodding intently. “Go tell Jade and Billie,” I said, finishing up with the last few cameras. Jade and Billie came down the stairs, prepared to do their parts. “Brilliant,” Billie said to me, smiling. I shrugged modestly and pointed at the front door. He nodded and headed outside to wait. Jade walked over to the “Staff Only” door and listened to Dori’s conversation with Melissa. She would warn us if Melissa started coming. Karla was mounted on Mike’s shoulders, placing wads of chewed chewing gum on all the microphones. She smiled at me as she did this. “And the last one,” she sighed, placing the gum on the mic above the door. “Get Dori.” I whipped out my cell phone and typed in the text message I intended to send her. “The duck has waffles” I typed. “Shit,” I whispered after sending it. “I meant to type that the duck has waddled.” “Oh well,” Jade sighed. “She better hurry up and get out here.” It wasn’t two seconds after Jade said those words that Dori rushed out. “We have roughly two minutes,” Dori said. “I say we run. Now.” We all headed out the door and Billie smiled at us from the cab he sat in front of. “What took you guys so long?” he asked. “I can’t take all these people in my cab,” the driver said. “It’s against regulation.” “It’s an emergency,” Dori pleaded. “Fine,” he sighed. They piled into the car. Billie sat in the front. Dori sat on my lap, Jade sat next to us, and Karla sat on Mike’s lap. The cab driver headed off. “Where to?” he asked. “My dad’s house,” I said promptly. “Where would that be?” he asked. “I don’t know your daddy.” “Right,” I said, and gave him directions. “Why are we going to your dad’s house?” Dori asked, staring at me. “He lives in the middle of nowhere. No one would look for us there,” I said. “We’ll stay there for a while and get in contact with Morgan’s mom and find out where she is.” “Okay,” Karla sighed. “Sounds good.”
MORGAN’S POINT OF VIEW “Well, thanks for letting me stay here,” I said to Frank as we drove along the street in his old car. “I really appreciate it.” “No problem,” he said. “You’re some fun company.” He was driving me to the airport so I could fly back to Pennsylvania, back home, as far away from this nightmare as I could get.

Part 23 MORGAN’S POINT OF VIEW “What do you mean there aren’t any tickets left to Pennsylvania? Who wants to go to Pennsylvania? No one, that’s who.” I stared at the woman on the other side of the counter, who was typing furiously. “The soonest flight I can get you on leaves tomorrow night at 7:30,” she said. “I’m sorry.” “But this is an emergency!” I practically screamed. “I need to get home.” “Then I recommend a train or car,” she said. “TO TRAVEL ACROSS THE FUCKING COUNTRY?” “Ma’am, please calm down.” She blinked at me. “MJ,” Frank said, placing his hand on my shoulder. Although I had told him my name was really Morgan, he still called me MJ, just in case there was a camera crew around or something. “Fine,” I said. “How much are the tickets for tomorrow’s flight?” “Coach or first class?” “Coach,” I said. “$100.” “For coach?” I asked, staring at her. I didn’t have that kind of money. “Yes,” she said. “Forget it,” I sighed. I looked at Frank. “Let’s go.”
REGULAR POINT OF VIEW “Here we are,” Tre announced as we pulled up in front of his dad’s house. “No kidding,” the driver said. “Figuring this is the only house for three miles.” “Here,” Billie said, handing him some money. “Keep the change for letting us all pile in here.” We climbed out of the cab and headed towards Tre’s dad’s house. Tre walked up and knocked on the door. We stood there a few minutes, waiting for Mr. Wright to come answer the door. But he didn’t. “Let’s call the cab and go somewhere else,” Karla suggested. “We can’t,” Tre said, sitting on the front stoop. “Why not?” Jade asked. “He doesn’t have a phone,” Tre said. “Are you kidding me?” Karla demanded. “Who doesn’t have a phone.” “The same people that don’t have electricity,” Tre mumbled. “How can you live without electricity?” asked Mike. Tre shrugged. “I grew up without it. But I’ve become kind of used to it. I couldn’t go back to living without it. But we’re just going to either have to wait for him to get back, or we could walk to the phone.” “How far away is the phone?” I asked. “Two miles.” “Holy crap,” Billie sighed. “By the time we get to a phone, with our luck, he’d be back here.” “How about two people head over to the phone and call a cab, and the rest of us wait?” Tre asked. “Who’s going to go?” I asked. “I’ll go,” Jade volunteered. “Me too,” Karla said. “Me, um, three,” said Mike. The three of them headed off. “Wait, you guys? Don’t you want to know where the phone is?” Tre asked. “That might help,” Jade said. “You walk along that path until you reach a sign that says ‘Visitor Center’. Then you follow the signs there. The pay phones are out front, by the bathrooms.” “Okay,” Karla said, and they headed off. “Sit here,” Tre whispered, patting the area on the stoop next to him. I sat down and leaned on him. Although it had only been a short while that he hadn’t been mine, I missed him so. He smelled good, and I smiled as I leaned on his chest. He ran his fingers through my hair. And Billie made gagging noises. “So immature,” I laughed. “Yeah, well,” he mumbled, pacing around in front of Mr. Wright’s house. “What about Morgan? Hiding out here isn’t going to help her.” “Yeah,” Tre said. “I don’t know. What do you think we should do?” “I don’t know,” Billie sighed.
JADE’S POINT OF VIEW “You guys are making me nauseous,” I said, staring at Karla and Mike, who were staring into each other’s eyes. “Sorry,” Karla laughed, but she didn’t look away from Mike. “So, are we calling a cab when we get to the phone?” Mike asked. “Duh,” I said. Karla just smiled at him. I really was starting to get sick. It was then that a car slowly came towards us. The girl that sat in the front seat of the car had shoulder-length blue hair. She looked oddly familiar, but for some reason I couldn’t discover who it was. “GUYS!” The girl had put down her window and was yelling at us. I recognized her voice immediately. It was Morgan. “MORGAN!” I yelled. “What did you do to your hair?” asked Mike. “Don’t worry about it,” she said. “Where are Billie and Tre and Dori?” “They’re at Tre’s dad’s house. We’re going to call a cab since no one is there,” I said. “Well, someone will be there in a minute or so.” She pointed to the guy driving the car. “This is Tre’s dad, Frank.” “Really?” Karla asked. “Yeah,” Morgan said. “You guys want a ride back to the house?” “HECK YES!” I said, hopping in the car.

Sorry this part is so short.
Part 24 REGULAR POINT OF VIEW I heard the sound of gravel crunching under tires and looked up. I had almost fallen asleep on Tre’s shoulder, and even the slightest amount of noise besides Billie and Tre’s voices woke me slightly. I turned to where the noise was coming from and there was a car. “Is that your dad?” I asked Tre. “Huh?” He hadn’t even noticed the car. “Yeah, it is,” he said. Billie smiled, as if he thought we were never getting home. But his smile grew wider as he spotted Morgan, sitting in the front passenger side of the car. “Morgan?” he whispered. “What?” Tre asked, jumping up and causing me to fall backwards off the stoop. Billie pointed at her as she stepped out of the car. “Billie!” she almost squealed, running over to him. He opened his arms and she practically jumped into him, almost pegging him on the ground. “Happy to see me?” he laughed. “You bet,” Morgan giggled, then kissed him. “Awww,” I said. “Shut up,” Billie snapped, and I just laughed. Finally, Morgan and Billie were together. I could only imagine how much it had sucked to be them, with all of that going on. I mean, it had hurt when Tre and I “broke up”, but he hadn’t known if she was even alive for a while. Jade, Karla and Mike climbed out of the car and smiled at Billie and Morgan. “You two match,” Jade said observantly, pointing at their hair. “Shut up,” they said in unison. “Now you’re finishing each other’s sentences,” Karla teased. “Hey, Tre,” Frank said, walking over to his son. “Hey, Dad.” “Is this Dori?” He pointed at me. “Yup. I guess Morgan told you about her, huh?” Tre asked, wrapping his arm around my waist and pulling me close to him. “Yeah,” Frank said, smiling. “So, how did Morgan get here?” Billie asked. “Well, it’s a long story,” she sighed. “Involving stealing a sweater, staying at the home of a guy I don’t know, and walking a lot.” “Oh,” Billie said, still confused. Frank unlocked the front door and guided us in. And for the first time, I didn’t feel like someone was watching me.

Part 25 TRE’S POINT OF VIEW I stood in my dad’s house for the first time in what felt like ages. I looked around. It all seemed so familiar, probably because I grew up there. I placed my hands on Dori’s hips and she looked around. “Welcome to my humble abode,” Dad said, making big, open arm gestures to the house. Even though I thought I had outgrown being embarrassed by my father, it was obvious I hadn’t. I shook my head at him, hoping Dori wasn’t thinking about what a loser my dad was. Billie looked over at me and could see my embarrassment. He smiled sympathetically, as if he understood. I just sighed, pulling Dori closer to me. “This place is nice,” Karla said, leaning back on Mike as they stood in the doorway. “You all are welcome to stay,” Dad said. “Glad to hear that,” I mumbled. “Where are we all going to sleep?” “Well,” Dad sighed. “There’s a guest room. Two people can share that. And someone can sleep on the futon. Someone else can sleep on the couch. And you and Dori can sleep in your room.” Dori turned and looked at me, smiling a bit, but looking kind of uncomfortable. Maybe the fact that my dad had suggested such a thing. I just squeezed her. “Okay,” Billie said. Morgan and I can sleep on the futon. Jade can crash on the couch, and Karla and Mike can sleep in the guestroom.” “I love how you go about making all the decisions for other people,” Jade mumbled, but Billie didn’t hear her. “Okay,” Karla agreed. But I didn’t expect for her to disagree. After all, she was going to share the best room in the house with her boyfriend. Jade was getting the short end of the stick, but she didn’t complain about it. “Let’s go check out the rooms,” Mike suggested, dragging Karla with him down the hallway in search of the guestroom. “You want to see my room?” I asked, almost embarrassed to show it to her.” “Sure,” Dori said, smiling. Crap, I thought. Why couldn’t she just say no? I brought her to my room and opened the door. As soon as I saw it, I realized no one had cleaned up since I left. Clothes lay on the floor. The bed was unmade. There were old glasses and stuff that I was pretty sure had mold growing in them. The posters on the wall were peeling off, and I flinched at the sight of it all. Damn, Dori probably thought she was dating a slob.
REGULAR POINT OF VIEW “Wow,” I said, examining his room. “This looks like my room only without the TV, computer and stereo.” “Really?” he laughed. “Mine would have those, if it weren’t for the fact that we have no electricity here.” I smiled at him. “So,” I said, “how many girls have you had in here before me?” “Um,” he thought for a second. “Zero. None of them would dare come in here. They’d all be too afraid that the thing living under the bed would kill them or something.” I laughed. “So I’m the first courageous girl to come in here?” “Pretty much,” he said, leaning in and kissing me. “And you get to be the lucky one who sleeps in here, too.” “You don’t have roaches, do you?” I asked, twitching at the thought. “No,” he said. “I don’t think so, anyway.” “Ew,” I said. “I hate roaches.” He smiled. “You’re cute when you’re disgusted.” “Bullshit,” I said, pulling my hair up and letting it fall back down on my shoulders. “I’m cute all the time.” “This is true,” he laughed. “I feel bad about Jade, though,” I sighed. “I mean, we’ve all paired off and she’s alone. That’s probably one of the reasons they put an odd number of people in the house.” “Probably,” Tre sighed. “And we all kind of paired up before she even got here, so it’s not like she lost someone to somebody else.” “Yeah,” I said. “Oh my God, you guys,” Karla said, ducking into Tre’s room. “That guest bedroom is amazing.” “Yeah, it’s pretty cool,” Tre said. “This is your room?” Karla asked. “Yup,” he said. “Never would of guessed,” she murmured sarcastically. At that second, Mike snuck up behind her and poked her in the sides, causing her to jump about three feet off the ground. “Mike!” she squealed, and laughed, running after him down the hall.
MORGAN’S POINT OF VIEW “This is cool,” Billie said, looking at the futon. “Sure,” I said, although I wasn’t so sure. The mattress was about half an inch thick. Since Billie was the one who decided where everyone crashed, why didn’t he suggested that we stay in the guest room? He threw himself onto the futon, trying to make it look really comfortable, but I could see that the mattress hadn’t cushioned him any, and he had just hit his tailbone on the metal frame of the futon. “Ouch,” I whispered as soon as I saw the expression on his face. “Are you okay?” “Fine,” he said. “Can you get me some ice?” “Yeah,” I said, rushing out to the kitchen area. “Do you guys have ice?” Frank nodded and grabbed some out of the small cooler her had. “What happened?” he asked. “Billie hit his ass on something.” Jade, who had been walking by, stopped and stared at me. “His ass?” “Don’t ask,” I sighed. I didn’t want to complain about the futon, so the less I said, the better. Just then, Mike came running down the hallway, panting and ducking into the room where the futon was. Karla came running after him, yelling, “I’LL TEACH YOU TO TICKLE ME!” I shook my head, walking slowly behind them, carrying the ice. “Here,” I said, handing the ice to Billie and watching as Karla practically beat Mike up. Watching the two of them was quite entertaining.
JADE’S POINT OF VIEW “I’m going to go for a walk,” I told Frank. “Where to?” he asked. “I just want to make sure you don’t get lost.” “I’m only walking over to the phones and back. I need to stretch my legs some.” “Okay,” Frank nodded. I waved as I headed out the front door and began on the path that I had taken before. I kicked a pinecone along the path and reached in my pocket to make sure I had some change. If I didn’t, this whole walk would be pointless. It seemed like forever before I finally reached the phone. I slipped in a quarter and dialed a number. “Hello?” said a voice on the other end. “Hey,” I giggled. “Jade? Oh my God, where are you guys?” Jeremy sounded frantic. “Don’t worry. We’re fine. I would tell you where we are, but Melissa might have your phone tapped or something,” I said. “Oh baby, I miss you.” “I miss you, too,” I whispered, feeling my eyes fill with tears. I hadn’t told anyone that I was dating Jeremy. I couldn’t tell him. When I had first sent in my submission tape, he had begged me not to do it, saying no good could come from it. But he couldn’t tell me what would happen. He would’ve lost his job, and I knew that. Once I got accepted, it was an even bigger deal that we keep our relationship under wraps, or else Melissa would milk it for all it was worth. “I can’t wait until this is all over,” he sighed. “I know,” I agreed. “I wish it had ended a long time ago.” “Well, since you guys disappeared this morning, they’ve been searching all over the place. Wherever you are, you better be well hidden, or they’ll find you. Melissa gave me a day off, since it’s not like there’s anything to do back at the house.” “Lucky you,” I laughed, leaning against the wall of the phone booth and watching the forest. “Man, I miss you so much. I can’t wait until we’re together again.”

Part 26 REGULAR POINT OF VIEW “Where were you?” I asked, looking at Jade as the front door opened. It was dark outside. We were all exhausted, feasting away on whatever we could find to eat. I was having PB&J while leaning against the counter. “I went for a walk,” she said, smiling at me. “Oh,” I said, nodding. I wondered how far she walked, considering she had been gone for a couple of hours. “Want something to eat?” “No thanks,” she said. “I’m just going to crash.” I nodded at her. The house was lit with several candles and oil lamps spread throughout the house. Why Frank (as he had asked me to call him) didn’t just get electricity was beyond me, but I had learned not to ask questions. I could hear some conversation in the living room, where most people were buys eating, as Jade asked them to hang out elsewhere so she could sleep. Of course, everyone piled into the kitchen, just when I thought I was getting some alone time. “Hey,” Tre said, walking over to me and taking a swig of his beer. “Hey,” I said. “I’m was just about to finish up my sandwich and go to bed.” “Oh,” he said, nodding. “Come on,” Karla sighed. “The night is young,” Billie insisted. “Let’s stay up all night and party!” “Frank went to sleep about ten minutes ago,” Morgan said. “And now Jade’s in bed. We can’t be too loud. If we keep Frank up, he probably won’t let us stay here very long.” “Right,” Mike said. “So that eliminates partying.” “Yup,” Tre nodded. I took the last bite of my sandwich. “Well, goodnight everybody,” I said. “I’ll be in there in a little bit,” Tre whispered, placing his hand on my back as I walked away. “Okay,” I responded. I headed into Tre’s room, stepping over massive heaps of clothes. I pulled back the covers of his already unmade bed. I pulled my clothes off and climbed into his bed, wearing only my underwear. I faced the wall and closed my eyes, trying to sleep. I heard the bedroom door open. I could hear him moving around. “Dori?” he whispered, checking to see if I was awake. I didn’t respond, pretending to be more asleep than I really was. I was beat, and I wanted to sleep. I didn’t even need to ask what Tre would rather be doing. “Dori?” he whispered again, but this time when I didn’t respond, he just blew out the candle on the bedside table. He slipped into the bed next to me, wrapping his arms around me and falling asleep, snoring softly. I was glad I could finally be with him.
BILLIE’S POINT OF VIEW “Well, everyone’s asleep,” Morgan said. We both lay on the futon, staring at the ceiling. Neither of us were getting any sleep. “Yup,” I sighed. “I can’t sleep. Can you?” “Nope,” she said. “Well, I’m glad we found you. Or you found us or whatever,” I chuckled, reaching over and laying my arm across her stomach. “I love you.” “Oh,” she said, pausing for a second. Shit, I thought. She doesn’t love me back. It seemed like forever before she finally said, “I love you, too.” I pulled her closer to me and pressed my lips against hers. I slipped my hand across her stomach and to her pants, where I began to remove her studded belt. “What are you doing?” she whispered, pulling away a bit. “What do you think?” I asked before kissing her neck. I knew it wasn’t the most romantic thing, but if she told me to stop, I would. I finally managed to undo her belt (which was difficult considering it was too dark to see it), then worked on the buttons of her jeans. “Billie?” she whispered. “Yeah?” I asked. She was going to tell me to stop. She was going to say she wasn’t ready. I could feel it already. “Do you have something?” “Yeah,” I said. “Hold on.” I reached into my pocket and pulled out my wallet, grabbing “something” out of it. I kissed her some more and realized how lucky I was. Not only did I have an amazing girl with me, but I also wasn’t on camera anymore. For once, I was kind of glad not to be the center of attention.
MIKE’S POINT OF VIEW I woke up the next morning to the sound of someone knocking on the front door. I climbed out of the bed, trying not to wake Karla and headed down the hall, prepared to answer the door. But Jade beat me to it. She didn’t see me coming down the hallway, so I decided to stand and listen to see who it was, just for the sake of curiosity. “Jade?” I heard a familiar voice ask. “Jeremy!” I looked around the corner and saw Jade hugging that Jeremy guy that worked for Melissa. Had Jade betrayed us, telling them where we were hiding? “How did you find us?” Jade asked. Okay, she obviously hadn’t told him. “We’re looking all over the place. We’re pretty much going door-to-door asking people if they’ve seen you. You’re lucky I came to this door. Jade, you guys shouldn’t be answering the doors and stuff. You’re in hiding!” “You have a point,” she said. “I can’t believe I didn’t think of that.” “Well, do a better job of hiding, okay?” he asked, then pulled her closer to him and pressed his lips against hers. Holy shit! What was going on? “Jade’s dating that Jeremy guy,” I announced to the still sleeping Karla as soon as I shut the guest room door. “Huh?” she asked, rolling over and looking at me. “You know Jeremy? He works for Melissa? About 6 feet tall with black hair?” “Yeah,” she murmured, wiping at her tired eyes. “He’s Jade’s boyfriend.” “No fucking way.” “Not lying. He was just here as part of a search team going door-to-door looking for us. Luckily there wasn’t anyone else, since Jade answered the door. But now they know where we are. And who knows how long it’ll be before everyone else finds out. We need to go.” “Now?” “Yeah,” I said. “Now.”

Yeah, sorry about this part Jade. Part 27 TRE’S POINT OF VIEW “Tre, wake up.” I rolled over and rubbed my eyes, staring at Mike, who stood in the doorway, wearing only his underwear. “What?” I asked. “I was sleeping.” “They know we’re here.” “What?” “That Jeremy guy that works for Melissa just showed up. They’re going door-to-door looking for anyone whose seen us. We have to leave,” Mike said. “And turns out he and Jade are a couple.” “Holy shit,” I said, turning to Dori. “Dori, honey, wake up.” “You call her honey?” Mike snorted. “Shut up,” I snapped. “Sorry,” he laughed. “I’ll go wake your dad and tell him we’re leaving. You get Billie and Morgan.” I nodded, then turned to Dori, who was half awake. “Dori, we’re leaving.” “Already?” she asked. “Yeah, it’s an emergency, so hurry. I’ll tell you about it in a little bit. I have to wake up Morgan and Billie.” “Is the house on fire?” she asked, sounding kind of panicked. “No,” I said. “Just get dressed and wait in the living room for Mike or Karla or me to get you.” She blinked at me, but just nodded. “Can I borrow some of your clothes?” she questioned. “If you can find some that fit, go ahead,” I said, rushing out the door and into the room with the futon. As soon as I opened the door, I wished I hadn’t. By the looks of things, Morgan and Billie had just, well, “done the deed.” “YOU GUYS!” I almost yelled. “THAT’S SICK! YOU GUYS FUCKED ON MY DAD’S FUTON?” “What?” Billie asked, waking up. I bet that wasn’t exactly the best alarm clock. He looked at me, then at Morgan, and then realized that he was naked. He pulled the covers around himself, almost pulling them off of Morgan, who pulled them right back. “Um, well…” “Guys, we have to go,” I said, deciding I didn’t want to know any more than I had to. “Long story, but they found us and we have to get out of here before they come get us.” “Shit,” Billie whispered. “Can you leave so we can get dressed?” “Yeah,” I said. “Just hurry.” I rushed through the living room towards my room. “Why is everybody running around?” Jade asked. She stood by the couch, looking very confused. “Like you don’t know,” I sighed, continuing to my room without anymore of an explanation. Dori was in my room, wearing an old pair of my shorts that I probably hadn’t worn since about the ninth grade. She also was wearing one of my old “The Clash” T-shirts, which looked pretty good on her. I kissed her on the cheek as I passed, reaching in a drawer and pulling out the first clothes I could find. She leaned against the bed, the previous day’s clothes piled in her arms. “So, what’s going on?” she asked. “They found us.” “What?” “That guy that works for Melissa was by here. He’ll probably be back to get us,” I said. “Holy crap,” she whispered, running her fingers through her hair. “Why didn’t he just get us before?” “Apparently Jade didn’t want him to,” I said. “And why would he care what Jade wants?” “Because Jade is his girlfriend.” “WHAT?” she screamed, staring at me. “You know what? Jade’s a traitor.” “Yeah,” I said. “I don’t know if we’re going to take her with us to wherever we go. They should just take her back to be on the fucking show.” “I’m going to go out there and wait for you,” Dori said. “Okay,” I nodded.
JADE’S POINT OF VIEW They all hated me. And I knew it. As Dori walked out of Tre’s room, I could almost feel the hatred coming from her. I just didn’t know why. “What did I do?” I asked. “What?” She stared at me. “What did I do to make everyone hate me?” “One word,” Dori sighed. “Jeremy.” “What? How did you guys find out?” “He was here this morning, wasn’t he? And no doubt he’ll bring back camera crews to drag us back to that hell hole called reality TV,” she groaned. “He won’t,” I promised. “You can’t guarantee that. You just assumed. People seem nice, but they aren’t always. I don’t blame you if you really believe he won’t betray you for his job. But he will.” “Dori…” “We’re not safe,” she said. “So we’re leaving. I don’t know about everyone else, but I don’t care if you come with us. As long as you don’t tell him a thing.” “I’m ready to drive you guys,” Frank suddenly said, bounding down the stairs. “Where is it you all want to go?”
MORGAN’S POINT OF VIEW “What are the odds that the same airline that has booked flights to Pennsylvania would have seven available seats to Florida?” I asked Dori. She smiled. “I don’t know,” she said. “So, do you think they’ll really go far enough to search for us at your house?” “Probably not,” she said. “Now we just have to decide how long we’re going to hide before everybody wants to go home. I mean, you, Jade, and Karla can head home whenever. But Billie, Tre, and Mike all live in the area. They’ll get found pretty easily.” “Besides,” I said, “I don’t want for Billie to leave. Do you think he’d want to move in with me?” “I don’t know,” she said again. “That’s between you guys.” “What about you and Tre? Do you think you guys will move in together?” “Let’s just worry about things one day at a time,” she said. “One day at a time.”
