Part 28 or something REGULAR POINT OF VIEW “Home sweet home,” I said, opening the front door and stepping inside my apartment. It had that almost canned smell that a house gets when no one’s been in it for a while. I looked around. It was so weird to see my home again, especially considering that I had been staying in one so much bigger for the past week. Even Tre’s dad’s house was bigger than my apartment, and we had to cram people in there. I could only imagine how bad it would be here. “Nice place,” Billie said, instantly walking over to the large sliding glass doors towards the back that looked over the beach. “Thanks,” I said, walking over to my phone. I lifted it to my ear and it made the beeping signal that I had messages. I listened to them as people wandered around, looking at my stuff. The first message was from the guy who lived in the apartment above me named Adam, asking if my power had gone out because his had. The next was from Zack, a friend of mine, who wanted me to call him as soon as I got back from the Real World. The last one was from my old boss, who was practically begging me to come back. “So, where is everybody sleeping?” Karla asked as soon as she saw I was off the phone. “Well,” I sighed. “There’s two bedrooms. One has a trundle bed, so it could fit three people. The fold out couch can fit two, and my bed can fit two.” “I’ll share your bed,” Tre said. “That’s a given,” I laughed. “Everybody else? Where are you guys sleeping?” “I’ll sleep on the couch,” Karla said. Mike didn’t look too happy about this, but didn’t say so. He just nodded. “So I guess that means that Morgan, Billie and Jade will crash in the guest room,” I said. Billie looked over at Jade. He seemed very skeptical, as if he were afraid that she would call Jeremy and report that she was in Florida, staying at my house. “Okay,” Morgan agreed. “But for now, let’s enjoy the beach.” “I hate the beach,” Jade said, but didn’t say anything else. “I don’t have a bathing suit,” Karla pointed out. “I have some,” I said. “Girls, come check out the stash.” “What about us?” Mike asked as I lead Morgan, Karla and Jade toward my room. “Um…” I thought for a minute. “Give me a minute. I’ll take care of it.” I pulled several assorted bathing suits out of my drawers and tossed them on the bed. They were in tons of different colors and sizes, since I had been gaining and losing weight like crazy over the past few years. “Wow,” Karla said, staring at the different suits. “Pick one,” I said. “Let me go take care of the guys.” I smiled at Mike, Billie, and Tre as I walked past them to the phone. I lifted the phone to my ear and called Adam. “Hello?” Adam said. “Hey. It’s Dori.” “Dori! What’s up?” he asked. “I have some friends over and I was wondering if you had some spare trunks lying around or something that they could borrow?” I asked. “Um, how many?” “Three.” “Sure,” he said. “I’ll be right down.” “Thanks!” I exclaimed, hanging up. I turned to the guys. “Wait a second. Your bathing suits will be here in a second.” “This is so cute!” Morgan exclaimed, stepping out of the bedroom wearing a black and green bikini. “Can I keep it?” “No,” I said. “That’s one of my favorites.” “Damn,” she sighed, and I laughed.
BILLIE’S POINT OF VIEW I gave Morgan the once over. She looked pretty hot in that bathing suit. I got a sudden flashback of the other night. I snapped out of it as the doorbell rang. Dori rushed over to the door. “Hey!” she exclaimed as some guy stood in the doorway, holding a bunch of bathing suits. “Hey,” he said, stepping in. They talked kind of quietly for a second and I looked over at Tre, who seemed to be wondering if maybe something was going on between Dori and this dude. He gave the guy the evil glare until Dori began introducing us and said, “This is Tre, my boyfriend.” The guy was introduced as Adam, a friend of Dori’s from high school who lived in the apartment directly overhead and was pet-sitting Dori’s dog while she was supposed to be on the Real World. “Why are you home so early?” he asked, tossing the trunks onto the couch. “Long story,” she sighed. “I’ll tell you about it after we go to the beach when I come by to pick up Sneakers.” I assumed Sneakers was her dog. “Okay,” Adam nodded, heading for the door. “And thanks for the trunks!” she called as he left. “There you go.” She pointed to the trunks. “Pick one and get dressed.”
“This is the life,” Morgan said as we sat in the sand, watching the not-so-clear water washing up in big waves. “We’re on the nice Florida coast instead of being filmed or something. “Yeah,” I laughed. I was watching Tre and Dori, who were body surfing all over the place. A couple of times, a strong wave would take Dori under and Tre would freak out, asking her over and over again if she was okay. “They’re cute,” Morgan said, noticing what I was watching. “So are you,” I said, and leaned over to kiss her.

If I was correct in assuming the last part was Part 28, that would make this Part 29 TRE’S POINT OF VIEW Well, of all the bizarre relationship I’d experienced, the one I had with Dori was probably the weirdest. And that was saying a lot, seeing as how I had a knack for finding girls with psycho ex-boyfriends who wanted to kill me for some reason or another. But it wasn’t actually the relationship that was strange. It was the circumstances under which our relationship lasted that made it so weird. I thought about this as I walked with her up the stairs to Adam’s apartment to return the trunks and get her dog, Sneakers, along with all his food and supplies. Her hair had gotten wet while we were at the beach and had begun to dry, causing it to get really curly. It was kind of funny, since I wasn’t used to her with curly hair, but I liked it. I slipped my arm around her shoulders, a nervous feeling filling the pit of my stomach, only because I knew what was coming. Adam was pretty friendly. He took the suits and brought out a leash, some bowls, some pills and some dog food. “Where’s the dog?” I finally asked, once he had mounted all the supplies into my arms. As if the dog knew it’s cue, he ran out of the apartment, jumping at Dori’s legs and licking her furiously. He was cute, a tiny little dog. “Sneakers!” she exclaimed, scooping him into her arms. “Thanks, Adam. “No problem,” he said, shutting the door. “Sneakers,” Dori said. “This is Tre.” The dog squirmed in her arms, as if he wanted to jump on me as we walked down the hall toward the stairs. I got the odd feeling the only reason he liked me was because of the huge bag of dog food I carried. “Hi.” “You don’t sound very excited to meet Sneakers,” she said. “Sorry. OH MY GOD! SNEAKERS! IT IS SUCH A PLEASURE TO MEET YOU!” I said, with way too much enthusiasm. “Shut up,” she laughed, the dog still squirming. We finally arrived at her apartment. As soon as Dori opened the door, Karla ran over and grabbed the puppy. “Oh, you’re so cute,” she said, making all sorts of bizarre baby noises at the dog. I set all his supplies on the counter in the kitchen and smiled at Dori, who seemed to love the fact that everyone loved her dog. It wasn’t long before Jade and Morgan were fussing over Sneakers, and Mike and Billie watched the girls freak out over this dog with this satisfied smile on their faces. We hung out on the wraparound porch that overlooked the ocean. Sneakers scurried around on the balcony, looking around as if he had never been there before. Jade was watching him with great amusement. “I’m tired,” Karla announced. “Good night all.” “Yeah, I’m tired, too,” Morgan said. “Jade, I’ll pull out the trundle so you can climb in whenever you want to sleep, okay?” “Sure,” Jade said. Not long after Karla and Morgan went in, Mike and Billie got bored, so they went to bed as well. Jade finally retreated, saying goodnight to us both. I smiled at Dori. “I love your house,” I said. “Thanks,” she said, smiling and looking out at the reflection of the moon across the ocean. “But it wouldn’t be as great if I wasn’t here with you.” “Aw, thanks.” “I love you,” I whispered, reaching over and grabbing her hand. “I love you, too,” she said. There was a long silence. Do it, I thought. Do it now. You’ll back out if you don’t. “Dori?” “Yeah?” I stood up and walked over to the left side of the chair in which she sat and knelt on one knee. If she didn’t see this coming, she had to be totally blind. I grabbed her hand and opened my mouth to propose when I suddenly felt something moist on my arm. I looked down. Sneakers was licking my elbow. Talk about ruining the moment. Dori looked like she wanted to laugh and cry at the same time. Her eyes were watering and she was smiling, snickering a bit at the fact that her dog was trying to make out with me while I was preparing to ask Dori to marry me. “Sneakers,” she laughed, reaching over and pulling the dog onto her lap. “Continue,” she promptly said once the dog was under control. “Dori,” I said, trying not to laugh at the fact that the dog was licking her neck as I was trying to propose. “Will you marry me?” “Yes,” she said. “Sneakers, stop licking me.” I laughed, standing up and pressing my lips to hers. She leaned back in the chair and I went with her, the dog squirming about and jumping around, licking the side of my face. “Your dog is really quite annoying,” I told her. “No kidding, but he’s awfully cute. Annoying and cute, much like someone else I know,” she said. “If you mean me, I don’t know what you’re talking about.” She laughed at this comment. “I’m not cute,” I said. She shoved me playfully, then stood up. “I’m going to bed,” she said. “I’ll see you tomorrow, soon-to-be-husband.” Hearing her say that was so strange, but all I could think of to say was, “I’m right behind you, future Mrs. Tre Cool.” “That’s the most bizarre name ever,” she laughed, then opened the sliding glass door and headed to her bedroom, Sneakers close at her heels. I smiled at her, took one last look at the moon, and headed in after her.

Part 30…I guess MORGAN’S POINT OF VIEW “I’m scared,” I whispered as I stepped into the kitchen. Billie, Jade, Mike, Karla, and Tre were all still asleep. I had just woken up, and Dori was in the kitchen making pancakes. For those who don’t know, Dori doesn’t cook. Ever. “Why?” she asked. “You’re, like, cooking.” “Yeah. What’s your point?” she asked. “My point is that you never cook. What happened?” A big smile spread across her face. “Morgan,” she said. “I’m going to tell you something that I don’t want for you to say anything to anyone about. At least not yet.” “What?” I asked, excited to hear whatever it was that she had to say. “Tre asked me to marry him,” she said, biting her lip in excitement. “Oh my God,” I whispered. “When?” “Last night,” she laughed. “Oh man, this is the most amazing thing ever.” “Wow, that was kind of sudden. I mean, you and Tre have been together for how long? Two weeks?” “What’s your point?” she asked, with a look on her face that more or less asked me not to ruin this for her. I didn’t want to take her out of her happy mode, but I was trying to be realistic. Two weeks wasn’t long enough to decide whether or not you wanted to marry someone. “Nevermind,” I said. “I’m so happy for you guys.” “I know you think it’s crazy,” she sighed. “And it is. But we’re not getting married tomorrow or anything. We’re going to wait a couple months. Maybe even a year.” “I understand,” I said. “I mean, getting married isn’t something you do at a spur of the moment.” “Who’s getting married?” Karla seemed to pop out of nowhere. “No one,” I lied. “One of you is,” she said suspiciously. “And I doubt it’s Dori and Tre. Oh my God, Morgan! Congratulations!” “I’m not getting married,” I said. She looked at Dori. “Are you?” she asked. “Yeah,” Dori said, smiling a bit. “To Tre, right?” “Duh.” “OH MY GOD!” Karla threw her arms around Dori and hugged her. “Agh, I’m so happy for you.” “Thanks,” Dori said, smiling a bit. “But holy crap, how long have you guys been together?” “Two weeks,” I said. “Does that include the time they ‘broke up’ and he ‘went out’ with you?” Karla asked. “That narrows it down to about one week,” I said. “Shut up,” Dori mumbled. She flipped a pancake and shook her head. “I love him. I really do.” “Glad to hear it,” Karla said. “I get to be your maid of honor, right?” “No!” I snapped. “I will be.” “You wish,” she sighed. “Excuse me?” I stared at her. “Dori is closer to me.” “Whatever,” Karla said, trying not to laugh as we had our pretend fight over who was going to be the maid of honor. “Actually,” Dori interrupted, “you two will be bridesmaids. I think Jade’s going to be my maid of honor.” “Why?” asked Karla. “Because I want her to be,” Dori sighed. “Don’t ask stupid questions.”
MIKE’S POINT OF VIEW I was half asleep. I could hear voices coming from the kitchen, so I tried to listen to the conversation. Maybe they were talking about something interesting. “Yeah, now would definitely be a bad time to marry him,” said one voice. “I know. That’s why I’m going to wait a while,” said another voice. “That would be the smart thing. Besides, I think you should wait until next fall. Fall weddings are amazing,” said a third voice. The second voice spoke up again. “Do you think he would want Billie to be the best man?” Someone in the house was planning on getting married. And all I knew was that it wasn’t Billie, which meant it wasn’t Morgan, either. It was either Karla or Dori. It had to be Dori, since I didn’t think Karla and I were at that point in our relationship yet. But I was closer to Billie than Tre was. If Tre picked anyone to be the best man, it would probably be me. And if I picked anyone…it would be Billie. Crap, I thought. Karla wants to get married.

I HAVE MADE ON OFFICIAL DECISION! Okay, I'm going to post one more part before I skip ahead to the finale, which I will not do until I return. The finale is going to be a few parts long, so it'll be a while before it actually ends. So don't yell about how you never want it to end. I'm toying with two new ideas for Tre stories, which I will post upon my return. I'll post that one more part which I spoke of earlier tonight.

Yup yup, Part 31 TRE’S POINT OF VIEW I rolled over and opened my eyes. I was in Dori’s room. The sun shined in the window that faced the ocean and I sighed. Dori was probably already up, seeing as how she wasn’t lying in the bed next to me. I got up and walked into the bathroom, staring at my reflection. My green hair was sticking up all over the place, and I looked like I hadn’t gotten much sleep. But then again, I hadn’t. For the past couple of nights I had lay in bed until about 5 in the morning, when I would finally fall asleep and wake up two hours later. I would think about being on the run from the cameras of the Real World. I would think about the troubles in the house. And for the past couple of nights, I had been freaking out about whether or not Dori would say yes when I asked her to marry me. That was when I heard a voice call my name. “Tre?” I jumped out of the bathroom to see Mike standing there. “Hey,” I said. “What’s up?” “All the girls just went to the beach, so I figured it was a good time to tell you.” “Tell me what?” I asked, motioning for Mike to come further into the bedroom. “Karla wants to marry me,” he said. “What?” I asked. “Already?” I was one to talk. I was engaged to someone I had dated a few weeks. “Yeah. They were all talking this morning about someone getting married or wanting to. And I think Karla wants to marry me,” he said, looking kind of panicked. I laughed. “Did it ever occur to you that I might be getting married?” “Yeah. But you’re not, right?” Mike asked. “I am,” I chuckled. “Who are you gonna marry?” “Who do you think?” “Dori?” “Yeah,” I said. “I proposed to her last night.” “Holy shit,” Mike said. “Well, that’s a relief. I wasn’t ready to marry Karla.” He shook his head and chuckled. “I was so quick to believe that she wanted to marry me, though. I don’t know why I naturally didn’t assume it was you and Dori.” “Well,” I said, shrugging. “I’m not exactly the kind of guy that wants to marry every girl he dates. In fact, I thought I wasn’t going to get married and settle down until I was about 50.” “Then why are you?” he questioned.
MELISSA’S POINT OF VIEW “What?” “We can’t find them,” Jeremy said. “We’ve gone door-to-door all across the city of Oakland, and we can’t find them anywhere.” “Did anyone see them?” I asked. “No,” he sighed. “If you’re lying, I’ll find out. And I will skin you alive.” He flinched. “I know,” he said. “So you’re being 100% honest with me?” I asked, chewing on my lower lip as I stared at him. “Yes,” he nodded. “What did Billie’s mother say when you asked her if she had heard anything?” “She said he said he was fine, but he wouldn’t tell her where he was,” Jeremy said, shrugging. “Same with Mike’s mother.” “And Tre’s family?” “His dad wasn’t home.” “Then go back,” I said. “Go back there and ask him or I will.” Jeremy nodded. “Yes ma’am,” he said, slinking out of the staff room. I couldn’t believe that they had escaped. They were the first Real World crew smart enough to elude the cameras. “Note to self,” I whispered, “make sure all the people on next season are total morons.” I could get fired for this. The thought had occurred to me several times since they had escaped. My boss told me that if I didn’t totally turn this around and make it fantastic, then I would be on my ass, searching for a new job. And that’s the last thing I wanted. I loved my job. “They better get back here,” I said to myself.
JEREMY’S POINT OF VIEW “Mr. Wright?” I asked as a man who reminded me of Santa Claus answered the door. “Yes?” he said, staring at me. “I’m here on behalf of the Real World crew and I was wondering if you’ve seen the participants.” “No,” he said, quite obviously lying. “I’m also here because I’m Jade’s boyfriend and I want to make sure they’re okay,” I whispered. “Are you bullshitting me?” he asked. “No sir.” “Well, they’re fine. But that’s all I can tell you. If I say where they are, you never know what might happen.” “I understand,” I said. “Well, bye then,” he said, shutting the door. I walked back to my car. I wanted to see Jade. I missed her, and I could hardly stand all these things Melissa had done to her. I only wished that I could’ve warned them.

Thank you, Jade, although your opinion is a little biased considering you're my best friend...and you're in the story. But it's still greatly appreciated.
