I sat down at my computer one day, and bothered myself into making an account here. Then I started writing. And writing. And then this happened. So, as odd as the title sounds, please read. It's the first one I've ever posted, so feed back is most wanted. And, without further to do, here is the fan-fiction.
I froze, looking into the incoming lights. They looked like two suns in the darkness of the night. My life passed before my eyes in a second.
"Shit," I whispered as the lights became brighter still. I wanted to throw my hands over my face, but they're tied behind my back. So I shut my eyes. I knew I would die. I knew this was the end of me. My feet are stuck to the tracks. I can't move. I'm dead.
But then the train seemed to slow to a stop. It shouldn't be slowing. They shouldn't be able to see me. As the train halted in front of me, I heard a soft voice whisper in my ear.
"Hello," it said. I could tell it was female, and that she couldn't be much younger than me. Much younger than thirty-eight. Damn, I'm getting older. I felt gentle hands graze over the ropes along my wrists. They dropped to the ground, but I kept my eyes shut. She was probably sent to kill me.
"Please open your eyes," her gentle voice said. I felt her around my feet, but I still couldn't tell what she was doing. "I bet you have beautiful eyes."
I slowly cracked my eyes open, and looked down. At my feet, a girl with long silver hair and red/orange eyes crouched. She was wearing a black dress that went to her mid-thigh. She had on a pair of Chuck Taylors. But I was startled about only one thing about: she had large, cured, silver wings.
She smiled softly at me and stood up. She was a few inches shorter than me. I could move again, and so I took a few steps back.
"Come with me," she said, holding out a pale hand. I didn't take it, but stepped back again. The train was starting to blow its whistle. It almost felt like we couldn't be seen.
"Please, Billie, we don't have much time," she said.
"How do you know my name?" I asked, backing away again.
She stepped forward and gripped my forearms.
"Let go!" I cried, but it was too late: she had started flying. "Oh my, God! Don't let me go!"
"Didn't plan on it," she chuckled.
Her long hair blew freely in the wind, and my black hair got in my eyes. She smiled down at me, her wings flapping hard. I looked back at the train to see it hurtling down the tracks. I was so glad I wasn't there anymore. I looked back up at her to see her looking down at me. She blushed and looked back up. I followed her line of site to see a forest.
"Where are we going?" I asked.
"A place," she answered.
We were now flying over the forest, and I was amazed by the beauty of it all. I don't even know where we are, but this is amazing. The tops of the trees mixed with dark green to black to a light green. And there were times when I could see the pale ground underneath. And the white specks of...Is that snow?
"What are you doing?" I shouted when she started going down.
"We're almost there, Billie," she answered.
My feet were starting to brush up against the tree tops, and I panicked. I threw my legs up around her waist, causing our balance to go off-center. She let out a scream as we toppled forward, through the trees.
"FUCK!" she screamed as the trees hit our bodies. I didn't think she'd say something like that! She seemed so sweet...
She finally regained control and stopped us from crashing into the ground. I lowered my legs from her waist and jumped to the ground. I hit the ground while she landed gracefully next to me. She reached out and brushed a few twigs from my hair.
"Well, Billie," she said. "I guess we shall walk from here."
She started ahead of me, her wings moving slightly in the breeze. She got into the trees, and I quickly ran after her. She remained silent as we walked through the eerily silent woods. Why's it so quiet? Why is it starting to snow in the middle of fall? Who the hell is this girl!? And why the fuck does she have WINGS? How can she fly? How did she stop the train? Where are we going?
