Ho hum. My first fanfic, I kind of got this idea quite randomly one day when I was flicking through channels. Probably will be pretty crap and a little angsty but oh well.

Part One
‘I walk a lonely road
The only one that I have ever known
Don't know were it goes
But its home to me and I walk alone’
Story of my life. I’m walking this lonely road. There’s nobody out here, but me. I don’t know why. I don’t think that anyone has the heart to come out now they know what’s happened. The critics and the haters, they acted like they didn’t care, but I know that this has shocked them to the core.
Walking down the road…walking, walking, walking… I don’t even know why I’m here. I’m lost, even though I know this place so well. I thought I knew myself. Guess I didn’t…If I had, then I would’ve stopped, people wouldn’t have got hurt, people wouldn’t have died.
But hey, I need to stop blaming myself. I need to go back. I need to say I’m sorry, and most of all, I need to put things right.
I look up from my feet and find myself outside this big house. This is the place I’m meant to be. I sigh, run my hand through my hair and push the gate open. The house is quiet, much too quiet, with that vibe that you get from a place where you know that inside something terrible has happened. But there are lights on inside, a car in the driveway and I know that people are home.
(Flashback)
“I need to talk to you!”
“Not now, I have to work-”
“No, NOW it’s important.”
“If it’s that important, it can wait. Hey!”
I grab her arm and pull her outside.
“Hey, Wha- What are you doing? What’s the matter?”
I shove her roughly into the car and start driving, pulling away from the buildings.
“What’s wrong?” She asks again, softer this time. I can’t answer her. I don’t want to hurt her, but we have to talk…
I’m walking up the path, feet scuffing the ground. I know I’m here, I can feel my body moving along but in my mind, it’s like a dream. I can’t think properly, my mouth is dry, and I can’t focus on anything.
The door's unlocked. I push it open silent as a gust of wind.
“Hello?” No answer. Nobody’s heard me. “Hello?” Still no answer. Downstairs is empty, I walk thought the living room, the dining room, and then I get to the kitchen. Maybe the house isn’t empty. There’s someone there, sitting at the table with his head in his hands. A guy, muttering to himself;
“You idiot, you complete idiot, you knew where he was going, why didn’t you stop him? This is all my fault. No, I can’t say that, he’s the one that got him in this mess. What could I have done, what could anyone do? Oh God, oh God…”
Poor guy. Obviously gone half crazy. He doesn’t se me, he’s talking to himself.
“But I could’ve at least tried to STOP HIM!” he smacks a fist down on the table, revealing his tear stained face.
Oh my God, no…It can’t be him… Such a great guy, I’ve destroyed him!
