Part 21
“Where did you go?” Paul asked. He stood in the kitchen of my apartment as I entered, looking around blankly. “I just woke up and you were gone.” “Um, about that,” I mumbled, ducking into the living room. “I’m leaving.” “What?” He followed me into the living room. “Where are you going?” “I’m not sure,” I lied. “I’ll come with you,” he said. “You don’t understand. I’m leaving YOU.” My voice grew cold as I said this. I looked at him, watching his expression change entirely. “This is cause I beat up that Tre guy, isn’t it?” “No,” I sighed. “There are so many reasons, and I just don’t feel like going through them right now.” “What did I do?” he asked, following me as I retreated to my bedroom. “Look, you just aren’t right for me. We have nothing in common. I mean, you like orange and I like red. You like tuna and I like chicken. You like rap and stuff and I like bands like…” “Green Day,” he interrupted. “That Tre guy, he’s why you’re leaving.” “No,” I lied. “Yes,” he said. “If you’re going to dump me, at least be honest about why you’re doing it.” “Fine. It is Tre. I love him, and I want him back. I need him back. I’m so sorry,” I said. “Then this would probably be a good time to tell you that I’ve cheated on you twice since our relationship began,” he said. “No kidding?” I almost laughed. I should’ve seen this coming. “With who?” “You know that Amanda girl at Bikini Hut?” “The spokesmodel?” I asked. I really was laughing at this point. I tried not to let it hurt to much. After all, I was the one that had dumped him for someone else. “Yeah,” he said. “And also this girl who used to live next door to me.” “When?” I asked. “Eh, with Amanda at the beginning of our relationship. And with my neighbor, that just started a couple weeks ago.” “Well, I wish you two the best of luck,” I said, although I kind of hoped they would both die. “But now I must ask you to leave.” I handed him his pants, which lay across a chair in my room. “Bye,” he said, slipping on his pants and kissing me on the cheek. “Keys,” I said, holding out my hand expectantly. He smirked a bit, dug through his pocket and produced the key to my apartment, which he dropped into my hand. As he walked through the door, I realized that this was the easiest breakup I had ever experienced.

Part 22
I showed up at Tre’s house again at about 7 that morning. He sat on the porch almost expectantly, watching the colorful sky lighting with morning sun. He seemed rather impressed. “What are you looking at?” I asked as I walked up the sidewalk toward his house. “Well, I was looking at the sunrise,” he said. “But it seems you’ve distracted me.” “Sorry about that,” I said. “Don’t be.” He stood up and walked over to me, placing his hands on my hips. “Did you break up with what’s-his-face?” “Did she ever marry old what’s-his-face?” I sang. “I hope not,” he laughed. “Last I heard she was going home to break up with him.” I smiled. “I did. Turns out he was cheating on me anyway,” I sighed. “No shit?” he almost laughed. “No shit,” I responded. “I missed you.” “I missed you, too,” he said, leaning forward and kissing me. We stood on his front lawn like that for a few moments, our lips together. I felt a new energy rushing through me, as if I was dead and Tre brought me back to life. Maybe it wasn’t just him I had been killing by running away. Maybe I had been killing myself as well. But it didn’t seem to matter anymore. All that mattered was that I had Tre, and that was enough to make me happy.
EPILOGUE (for those who need a REALLY happy ending) Tre moved into Vicky’s apartment with her, which she considered to be really stupid, since he had this huge house of his own. But Tre insisted that it would make things less awkward, considering Claudia lived there as well. The two lived together for a few months before they finally did get married (and Vicky didn’t run away this time). Her mother decided to be part of the wedding, although she still didn’t so much appreciate Vicky marrying a “rock star”. Green Day then decided to cancel their farewell tour in order to go back to the studio and record some more CDs, since no one can stop Green Day.
Hey, this is my story and I can have it end however I want, no matter how unlikely it may seem. THE END.

Yeah. I kind of based it on someone I knew. Only she wasn't marrying Tre.

*Claps* That was awesome. Great story! I didn't like the baby part much, and I HATED the whole 3 years apart, new boyfiend thing, but it ended really good. lol. Even though it made me sad, I have to admit, it was a amazing story.

Wow, thanks. I felt like I was rushing through it too much, though. And it got kind of soap-opera-ish for my taste. But thanks just the same.

Yeah, I try not to do that with stories, but this one was just so amazing you don't notice.
